Rescue Your Kidnapped Pet Rock
Super Adventure Pals is an action platform adventure with a wonderfully strange starting problem. The evil Mr. B kidnaps your pet rock, so you set out across the land to rescue it. You do not travel alone. Your good friend Giraffe joins the adventure and helps along the way.
The journey takes you through colorful levels filled with platforms, enemies, characters, hidden items, and dangerous areas.
Fight Monsters and Explore Each Level
Super Adventure Pals mixes jumping and exploring with battles. You can attack enemies as you travel through each area. Bombs provide another way to deal with troublesome creatures.
Movement also plays a major role. You need to jump between platforms and make your way through areas that cannot be crossed by simply walking forward.
Defeating enemies earns experience. Gaining enough experience lets your character level up and improve useful abilities such as strength or health.
Visit Towns and Talk to Characters
Not every part of Super Adventure Pals involves fighting. Towns contain characters you can speak with. Some have tasks or useful information.
You can also visit shops and spend the gold collected during your travels. Potions help with health, while other items and abilities can make later stages easier. Potions work automatically when needed.
Diamonds provide another type of reward. You can earn them by replaying levels and then spend them on useful shop items.
Prepare for Bigger Battles
The journey eventually includes boss fights against stronger enemies. These battles test the skills and upgrades you build during normal stages.
Super Adventure Pals gives you plenty to do without making the main goal confusing. Explore the world, help characters, collect gold, defeat monsters, improve your hero, buy equipment, and keep following Mr. B.
The missing pet rock gives the whole adventure a clear purpose, while Giraffe and the unusual characters give Super Adventure Pals a playful style that fits its colorful world.
