Info About Puzzle Fortress

The core gameplay loop involves overcoming locked doors in each room. To unlock a door, you need to use a computer, but these computers require a complete code. The challenge comes from finding the code, which is split into fragments scattered around the room on collectible discs. This means exploration and careful searching within each area are crucial to finding all the pieces needed to advance.

You’re not just sneaking around unarmed, either. You come equipped with a freeze ray gun, which uses batteries as ammunition. Hitting enemies with the ray freezes them solid. What’s really interesting is that frozen enemies can then be pushed around, suggesting you might use them to solve environmental puzzles, block projectiles, or reach new areas. If you shoot a frozen enemy a second time, they’re destroyed completely. This freeze-and-push mechanic adds a unique strategic layer to dealing with threats, blending combat with puzzle-solving as you navigate the fortress using the arrow keys and spacebar.
