Take Command of a Modern Defense Force

Command & Control is a tower defense strategy game based around modern military battles. You act as the commander of a deployed force and need to prevent enemy troops and vehicles from breaking through protected areas. The campaign contains eight combat missions set in Middle Eastern locations.

Enemies do not always approach in one neat line. Soldiers, trucks, tanks, and other units can enter from different directions, which makes defensive placement important.

Position Your Defenders

You can place different military units in available defensive positions. These include soldiers as well as heavier weapons such as mortars and rocket launchers.

Each position covers a certain part of the battlefield. A unit placed too far away from the action may spend much of the wave doing nothing.

It helps to watch the roads before spending your money. Areas where several enemy routes come close together can become useful places for stronger defenses.

Upgrade Instead of Only Building More

Command & Control lets you improve the defenses you already have. Upgrading a useful position can sometimes help more than buying another weak unit.

Enemy forces become stronger as the mission continues, so the setup that handles the first wave may not survive the later attacks.

The game uses the mouse for its main controls and includes a tutorial that explains the basic system.

Call Support From the Air

Ground troops are not your only option. You can call helicopter and aircraft support when the situation becomes difficult. Number key 1 selects or cancels the helicopter, while 2 handles aircraft support. Escape cancels the current selection.

These special attacks can help when a large group gets past the main defensive line.

Command & Control combines tower defense with a modern military setting and active support abilities. Place soldiers and heavy weapons where they can cover the roads, strengthen important positions, watch for tougher vehicles, and call in air support when a wave threatens to break through.
